After I got home from work, I hit the websites. My hope was that I could simply enter contests on websites for popular products such as Coke, McDonalds, ect. No luck. Everyone wants me to join some sort of club before they let me enter contests. This calls for a fake (sort of) email address.
Philgamble@hotmail.com now exists. I have spent the last hour or so joining up with random corporations in hopes of finding contests to enter. And I have found the first contest I am going to enter. It will be through Coca Cola, and I am going to try to win a Jerome-Iginla-autographed-hockey-stick. Here are the rules!
Non-purchase Method of Entry. To enter without making a purchase, during the Promotion Period, hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, the prize pool for which you would like to enter, and your age on a 3" x 5" piece of paper and mail it with proper postage to: "iCoke.ca Sweeps 19" PO Box 583, Dept. SWS19, Pickering Ont. L1V 3T3. You will receive 1 entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit: 1 per envelope. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and must be postmarked by the date listed in the chart in Section #4 above. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
I would normally do all this immediately, but it is late and I can't find any index cards. However, I will get it done tomorrow and mail it out on Wednesday.
It has become apparent that I did not actually gamble or enter a contest today. But by signing up with Quiznos, I now get 2 dollars off the next combo I buy AND a free cookie on my birthday, which is much more than I can say for you right now.
